In 2017 the book Survivor: A Portrait of the Survivors of the Holcaust by Harry Borden was published by Hachette Australia.
In the book are portraits and quotes by Holocaust survivors from around the world including Israel, Australia, United Kingdom and America.
Dita Gould’s photograph appears in Survivor: A Portrait of the Survivors of the Holocaust.
Dita was photographed on her balcony at her home in Melbourne, Australia.
It is a unique photo as it has been taken in the reflection of a mirror.
We have included the photo above which appears in the book for you to enjoy.
Harry Borden has spent the last five years travelling the world to meet and photograph survivors of one of the darkest moments in human history. There is much to learn from those who survived the Holocaust.
Dita Gould was one of those survivors and has been photographed by Harry for the book, Survivor: A portrait of the survivors of the Holocaust. Dita's remarkable tale of survival led her to Melbourne, which began with being smuggled out of the Budapest ghetto with her sister and hidden in a secret mezzanine level in the Hotel Gellert.
Here is an interview which was conducted by Sarah McDonald with Dita Gould and Harry Borden about the release of Survivor
